Before you compare two motors or pumps, make sure the ratings are being interpreted the same way.
- Confirm the horsepower standard.
- Check whether the rating is continuous or peak.
- Compare voltage, phase, and efficiency where relevant.
- Round only after the main calculation is complete.
Small differences in standard or rounding can make two similar values look inconsistent when they are not.
